If you don't clean the rust off the hub flange that the rotor mounts over, the rotor will still have excessive runout and make pedal occilations.

if the calipers don't float because of dirty or rusty hardware, the pads will ride the rotor continuously and cause heat warping of the rotors within a few miles of driving. Usually it starts off not bad and gets more severe the farther you drive when this happens.

Otherwise, look at the rear. You could have a warped rotor/drum (whichever you have) back there, or a bent stub axle...

I suspect your ABS control module is faulty. Rust on the rotor may not cause the padel to fluctuate up and down and I assume you replaced them already. If you hear the ABS noise also when the padel goes up and down, that is the ABS module.

thread bump...

I am having a similar problem but even when the car is off sometimes the peddle will go all the way to the floor but sometimes it feels very firm. I have bled the breaks so I'm pretty sure that is not the issue, the master cylinder is less then a year old and no fluid is leaking out. So could it possibly be a problem with the ABS module?

hmmm....

it almost like some valve is letting the fluid flow past it....I never loose any fluid and there is not air in the lines. Unless there is a reacuring leak because I have bleed the shit out of them twice now but I am not seeing air bubbles...

I'm kinda lost with this problem....

GT92Accord, since you seem to have successfully stolen the thread --- you have a bad master cylinder. Replace it.
