SkylineUSA 06-23-2006, 05:50 PM If your rich, jet down. Get a light and see where your timing is at. If you adv the timing you will burn more fuel, but you need a light to see where your at. First is first, what jets are you running? Has it always ran rich, or did it just start? How long have you had the car? You do not chase a rich condition by adjusting your timing unless its way off, its normally the metering of the carb. lostgap 06-23-2006, 10:44 PM hello lostgap 06-23-2006, 10:45 PM hey i am new to this . whats up 82Stang 06-28-2006, 08:57 PM Hi, One thing people rarely check is the oil being contaminated with fuel. Due from either misfire, bad pvc, coolant temp sensor or O2 sensor. Sometimes an open loop will cause the engine to run rich. Any of these may or may not be part of your problem, but I like to get a whole lot of ideas so as to better my chances of curing the problem. Good luck. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
