Well the A/C system now works(thnx Richtazz) and is blowing cold air BUT,... The vents didn't work SO... I cked all the vac-lines and sure enough the line from the vac-ball to the "T" was shot(a large hole in it) so I pulled the line and the vac-ball out... removed the broken end...stuck the(now shortened) vac-line in the vac-ball and "PooF" like magic all the vents now work and go where I set the controls ... the problem is I need about 6 ft of that (plastic Line) and autozone nor murrays has it...(all they got is rubber which will collapse)... I will try napa, carquest and pep boys tomorrow to see if I get lucky but if not.... more than likely a dealer thing??? Any other ideas where I could get this stuff???:banghead:

Thnx in advance,

MYX

if you get the thickwalled rubber it till work. Ilso what you can do is reuse the old plastic one by slipping both broken ends into some rubber line.

I got a hold of some 3/16th(had 1/8th) vac-line and replaced the section from the Vac-ball to the "T" its a lil thicker but it did the job... BUT... after a short ride to ck' everything out... I realized Im losing a fair amount of air again(only when I gun it or accelerate harder than a trickle) from the dash vents to the floor and window again... about 40-50%...(it comes back once I get outta the throttle)It was working perfect for a lil' bit... SO back out tomorrow to ck' ALL the other vac-lines... Im guessin(and it figures) it will be the one to the inside of the damn car(thru firewall) since I had the one from the Plenum off and cked it...(SOLID) so we will see tomorrow....

An air line set for airshocks would be cheap and the right stuff...

The actual vacuum ball itself may be bad. I've used rubber line to repair that plastic line and never had an issue. It's a storage container to keep steady vaccum when the engine isn't producing enough (like at WOT).
