65 911 Transmission Problems...

Hello,
I have 1965 911 that sits most of the time... I had replaced the worn out transmission with a rebuilt one years ago.. Last winter I decided to take it out and start it up.. When I did the clutch was stuck... I (stupidly) tried to put it into 4th gear. It did not go into gear and I pushed the car back into the garage. Eventually when the weather warmed up I pulled it out again, the clutch let loose, but I was unable to put it into 4th or 5th gear....
Is this a simple fix or do I have to drop the engine and transmission again? And when I do drop it what probably broke? My guess is that its some type of broken shifting fork.....
