Is this limited to certain silverado's? is this a common problem? Even if that zerk fitting didnt stop the noise, it is still pretty convenient. :) gmtech79 06-16-2006, 10:12 PM Myself, I wouldn't do it. Have you tried the kit from GM or tried replacing the shaft. Are you sure that is your noise. Silverado514 06-17-2006, 12:32 AM Most people who own GM had this problem, even after trying to replace a new shaft or using the Lube kit its come back again. check this http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=484496&highlight=intermediate+shaft http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=556742&highlight=intermediate+shaft http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=505966&highlight=intermediate+shaft http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=494420&highlight=intermediate+shaft vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
