92 accord ex, auto trans, 101k miles. driving today and it just died. tried to restart but wouldn't turn over. has plenty of gas. friend said it may be clogged fuel filter or fuel pump?

sounds like the ignitor or main relay to me.

Should be the igniter. Take off one spark plug, put on the wire and touch a metal part on the engine, crank the engine, did you see spark? If not, it's probably your igniter.

And you can smell the tail pipe while cranking, it should have fuel ordor. If not, suspect the fuel system.

If you suspect it is fuel go to the main relay first this is a known common failure.

there might be a relay box under the steering wheel to the left, I think, solder connectins go bad

jimmyn33 - you actually just repeated what had already been said (except the solder joints, which I agree is a known issue) - 6 weeks after the last post! I know some people can wait 6 weeks to get a problem solved, but not many.
