It's not one of their best. Their illustration shows the later version w/smoother front bumper, the kit has the "original" E55 style bumper. It's kind of thick/blocky, the interior is really simple/lame. Wheels are great. A good bit of TLC can make it look good, but if you put in just OOB effort it looks "off".

Its a pretty bad kit. Interior lacks detail, taillights don't fit, proportions are off, details are lacking, front lights aren't done correctly, ride height is too high, etc.

I don't know about the AMG, but the normal model comes in a early and late version. The late version has the new style lights, dashboard, trim and bumpers. As said, the interior isn't great and the bodyshape is off. A much more annoying mistake is that the frame which houses the wheels and grille is plated is some sort of semi-matt chrome. Which is great for the wheels, but looks horrid on the grille.

I started to build this kit 2 years ago and never finished it. The interior is really weak and the body seems to be a bit too narrow. If you really want to build this car it's OK, otherwise it might be disappointing.

Just out of curiousity...what is the model parked next to the E55AMG (in the background of the hlj pic?

I think its a good model if you did enough prep job before painting or attaching the body kit.

I did this model last year, and I think the model really represents the E55 well enough. Even though there are some minor misalignments with the lines of the car.

Here is my thread if you want to check it out: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=528450

If anyone is selling theirs for cheap, I would buy it.
