air bag control modual help

is their a hyundai tech around that can tell me if the codes will be removed from the air bag system if i replace my water damaged control module with a new one? dealer said my current AB control box has had water damage and needs to be replaced, for 650$, ya right. I did find one at a good shop around town for 100$ salvaged. will simply swapping the boxes correctly drop the codes?
