Duatone 08-01-2002, 07:15 PM abs huh? never knew that, i use to sell that kind of drainage pipe, but anyways, for your basic prep job, if its a smooth flat piece of plastic, which it should be, just scuff it with red scotch-brite, and you should wipe it down about 2-3 times with prep-sol, rubbing alchohol, plastic prep, or such. now, depending on how close you want it to match your original paint depends on what you use, you can get an aerisol made at your local paint shop and base/clear it yourself, or you can try and find a close match at the local hardware store with their limited supply of krylon, sorry, but anything doing with krylon makes me cringe. then throw a couple coats of clear over that. also, spray a good layer of primer on it, any kind will do, then you have to scuff the primer before you paint. or you can drop all this off at a local paint/body shop and say "paint this so I can turn my sled into one sic ride", by the way, you can pick up any and all of these items at and auto paint store. JuMBoBeaTS 08-02-2002, 07:12 PM ok... i finished paintin em... i just used a small hacksaw n cut them very carefully... here's what they were supposed to look like http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/155298eyebrow2.jpg here's what they look like now http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/799252Mvc-007f.jpg whaddaya think?? Duatone 08-02-2002, 07:43 PM came out pretty good, i guess, since i cant really see much since its dark. but my preference is to take them all the way around the houseing, but to each his own. did it paint okay? JuMBoBeaTS 08-02-2002, 09:00 PM oh... my bad... heres another pic... this one is pretty clear... i think... http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/586975Mvc-009f.jpg no problem painting... i got a few bubbles... but they flattened n they're not that noticable... i think i was a lil too impatient wid da paint... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
