Resetting check engine light?

I have a 99 4 dr auto. My check engine light came on because I was low on oil. How do I reset the check engine light? Thanks,

Either with an OBD2 code reader or disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes.

Thanks I tried to reset it with a laptop program. But that didn't work I'll do the battery tonight.
