Real pics of the 07'sNigel215 06-12-2006, 12:13 PM http://www.speedsportlife.com/2006/06/12/2008-chevy-silverado-uncovered/ What do yo guys think. I think they should of kept the front end more like the SUV's. twomorestrokes 06-12-2006, 12:26 PM The front's okay. I'm not big on the humps on the side. Was Dodge getting too much attention? I don't care for it at this point, but it took a few years for me to even get used to the current body style when I was still driving my '95. wrparks 06-12-2006, 12:51 PM If this is it, I don't like it at all. Looks like they bastardized a tundra, ram, colorodo, and titan, with a sprinkling of the ford explorer sprortrac and decided to put them in one truck. And what is with the front bumper? Chrome in the middle, painted sides? Nice rims though. Got one thing right, but don't they look familiar somehow. Plus, it looks small somehow. Sure it's not the colorado? pkbfree 06-12-2006, 01:13 PM Ew. guumbah 06-12-2006, 01:19 PM Plus, it looks small somehow. Sure it's not the colorado? The body is approximately 4x the height of the rims in that pic. Depends on what size wheels we think those are. If you assume 16's or 17's, then it's much closer to the Colorado's current width. They'd have to be 18's or 19's. Also, look at the first pic on Chevy's site in the Colorado photo gallery. Looks very close.... http://www.chevrolet.com/colorado/photogallery/ I kind of like it, if it's really the new Silverado style. I don't mind the humps (look at the back of my Quadrasteer!), and I like that the grill is a little more like the 99-02 style, imo anyway. :2cents: guumbah 06-12-2006, 01:35 PM These are fakes. Check out the pixelation caused by editing or pasting when you zoom these up real close in Photoshop: http://mattfletcher.com/images/silvyfake2.jpg http://mattfletcher.com/images/silvyfake.jpg broughy84 06-12-2006, 01:36 PM That looks awful. chuck16 06-12-2006, 02:16 PM The pixelation in those pictures has to with web pics. They decompressed the originals to make for snappy web images.... GM screws up the look again...that looks yucky!!! guumbah 06-12-2006, 02:30 PM I know how web image compression works. I'm talking about the area immediately around the badging. It's more pixelated than the rest of the image. By a lot. And the area of the extra pixelation has a pretty crisp edge about four pixels to the right of the "o" on the rear badge. Maybe I'm wrong, anybody with Photoshop or a similar program can do the same thing I did - zoom way in and see what you think. chuck16 06-12-2006, 02:51 PM I know how web image compression works. Ok so I took the full size image and looked at it and it almost appears that they have rebadged everything, the Silverado, the Chevy symbol, the LT, The Tailights, the Z71..... ok I'll change my first impression.... It also begs the question, Why would they have the first pics???? Why wouldn't GM release the original pics.... Makes you wonder exactly what we are looking at it. I'm going to see if I can find a program to find out what's real and what isn't in this picture. dr_of_lovephd 06-12-2006, 03:10 PM I agree with guumbah, at least the badging seem to be fake. The Z71 symbol is the worst. It does not look right in the original, and has an obvious box around it if you zoom in. But it could be pixelation. But it is apparently a gm designed truck. The door handles, glass, tail lights, etc. look like ones from the new tahoe or avalanche. If it is the next silverado, it actually looks better than I expected. I think it looks better than the new tahoe. If they went with an all chrome bumper, it would not look so much like an titan. Also, the interior seems too big for it to be a colorado, unless the guy inside is very small. J Rainey 06-12-2006, 05:34 PM I like the looks of the 06 way better than that. I hope that isn't the finished product. Ape0r 06-12-2006, 06:14 PM It does appear 'shopped, but I ask this: If it isn't the new Silverado, what is it? ...btw.. the current body style is way better looking. I'm sure the interior will be a big step up, though. TexasF355F1 06-12-2006, 07:39 PM :uhoh: UGLY! What the hell? It looks like a cross between a Tacoma, Xterra, Titan. I hope those aren't the real pics. It looks pretty small too. jeverett 06-12-2006, 09:39 PM Whatever it is it looks like shit x 4 PamzJoe 06-13-2006, 12:13 AM That is fugly! kenwood guy 06-13-2006, 02:12 AM i would like to see the truck with aftermarket upgrades Nigel215 06-13-2006, 06:55 AM true that guys, Im kinda hoping its a fake. Just seemed legit to me at first and I dont have photoshop to check out all the little things. We will see what the real thing is in a few months. masapell 06-13-2006, 01:34 PM Is is just me, or is the hood open? chuck16 06-13-2006, 01:48 PM Is is just me, or is the hood open? If you read the article it says yes they had the hood open but, not latched.... masapell 06-13-2006, 07:19 PM If you read the article it says yes they had the hood open but, not latched.... Sorry, I guess I was too busy gawking at the pictures! :grinyes: That's what I get for skimming the article! Matt 01silverado03z400 06-13-2006, 07:21 PM I don't like it. I would have liked it if the front end would look like the Tahoe but this one looks like a Titan. The humps remind me of the new Dakota :banghead: . The ass on that thing looks small and ugly. I think the extended cab would look better because of the longer box. I can't even imagine the 3/4 tons or 1 tons. I wonder if theyre gonna keep the duramax?? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
