95 Chevy 1500(4x2) Parking Brakeuserpete1037 06-11-2006, 09:29 PM I replaced the drums , shoes and springs. The brakes seem to work fine from driving but i'm having a problem with my parking brake. The parking brake will not hold. I've adjusted the cable and tightened it real good but it will not hold. When i purchased the drums, the retailer said they didn't have to be turned but that's the only thing i can think off that's causing the brake not to hold. One moe thing, I didn't bleed the brakes. Could this be the problem? userpete1037 06-19-2006, 01:22 AM Thx for nothing.....figured it out. forgive me if i don't post solution. Rs051802 06-26-2006, 10:57 PM Hey, your certainly welcome!!@!! It is nice to know we are human and do not have the answer for all. To bad you had to be so sarcastic, I have a 95, just did the same brake job, and just properly set my parking brake. Could have helped, but will not.......... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
