help on installing 6x9 speakers in 83 electra park avenue

I need help on installing 6x9 speakers in my 1983 electra park avenue model. Should I get a co-axial speaker or the more circular one? Oh yeah, is there a way to find out what cd decks will fit into that model as well?

You can cut out openings into your rear deck to fit the 6x9s on top, this way you can fit ANY 6x9, coaxial or not, in there. I say this because I've never seen the inside of an 83', but I did do a speaker swap on my dad's 88' a few years ago. Any CD deck will fit as long as you get an aftermarket kit to install it. The back of the kit packaging will list what models/ years it will fit. You can also get a double din deck(3 1/2-4 inches in width, not sure the precise dimensions) basically the same size as the factory one, which means a perfect fit. These usually have CD and tape player, hence the larger size.
