Just got a 98 civic ex for 3k, and its beautiful...however its and automatic. The price was right so I did it. Was wondering if anyone knew of some good ways to make this thing move. Now im not the rich type of person so I do have some what of a budget. If ya guys have some ideas and can help me let me know. It's hard when you have a civic cause you know you can't leave it stock.

Thanks guys

I did have a 93 civic before and started to get into the aftermarket parts but then I got in a wreck. So I'm not up to date with any of the stuff now. To be honest with ya guys, not sure where to even start anymore. Cold air intake first? Headers, exhaust? Even a step in the right direction will get me going lol.

Get the Exhaust before the Header though, because if you just have the header in there without the exhaust, it sounds like a fart can...at least it did in my friends GS- she had an AEM intake and DC 4-1 Headers before her greddy exhaust...It sounds sooo nice now:)

Where did you find a 98 Civic EX for $3,000? How many miles? What is wrong w/ it? Oh yea, and who did you buy it from?

Got it from a little old lady that goes to my church. Not a bad price at all so I went for it. It only has 47,000 miles on it. Interiour looks like it is from the factory. I just have to do something with it now lol

Well, it sounds like you got a pretty good deal. Too bad it's an automatic. Welcome to AF!

skip intake header exhaust and go turbo. costs about the same if you do homemade kit, and it will actually add some hp to your ride.

I dont have money to blow an engine...i am willing to try to make my own turbo though. Is there a place with a deffinite working turbo plans? I really dont want to go through 5 engines.
