compared to what it was b4, its really turning out to be a nice car. btw, u have to get rid of the dual subs, they sux major time. grab 2 pioneer amps the 720 ones i think, and push 4ohms at 460 watts each. then u will see how much they suck like they say to do. otherwise its lookin good. im not really diggin the really bright green though.

the green was a decision i made because i like it. I dunno, it just makes it stand out. I am not looking for ear splitting bass or anything, and the dual subs are fine for me right now.

my little brother and his friend were looking under my hood and went "that looks like the ooze from ninja turtles" so i guess it's official, that's where the ooze is made lol

my friends engien bay is still my favorite though....gonna be even better after he gets his turbo or supercarger set up. i would post a finished pic but when is 1:00 AM and all youve had to eat is some burger king and half a big mac all day and you are having vacume hose and throttle cable problems you kinda say "fuck the camera"

i use windex and a papertowel on mine.

Hmm, not to fond of the green, but to each his own.

to clean up the engine bay, use engine degreaser
a big huge bottle its purple...worked for mines. mine doesn't look that great since its discolored. royal purple or something. works perfect for me. u can also get engine tech's spray bottle for like 97 cents a can at walmart. that works like a charm as well.

Not feeling the green... but it's a clean car.

i did all the body work too, (with the exception of the rear fender dent and the paint) so i appreciate the comments on the car, the engine paint is anyone's opinion, but it's great to hear people like the work i've put into bringing the J30 back from death.

Any ideas on what i should do next? i don't think the 300zx na headers will fit the J, but i've thought about trying them out and running a custom dual exaust.

u could try. it wouldnt hurt im sure. just get the measurements of the headers and measure it out. next y dont u finish cleaning up the rest of the engine bay. do 1 area at a time or u will forget about it im sure. do a tune up or w/e. clean everything in there. paint the rest of the stuff in there to match or replace to help u performace wise.

yea i'm cleaning up the bay saturday (thanks for the advise everyone!) it's been tuned up a year ago, i don't really can think about anything else to paint to be honest... i want to keep it like that. only thing with performance, it's kind of a hit or miss.. not many people know of anything to replace (or if anything is made for it)

The car really does look clean now. I can't believe how haggard it was before you started working on it. Nice job on the tlc.

i dont think the wheels will help u performance wise. on 15s they are 16.7 , 16's they are 18.9lbs and on 17's they are 21.6. so yea, a very heavy wheel. btw, www.wheelweights.net is the source for wheel weights.

i don't really want them for performance.... i want them because they look cool and i've always wanted bigger wheels for my car.

i've already started planning on a performance car... the J was not meant to be fast, i've already accepted that. it's quick for a luxary car don't get me wrong, but it's still not what i'm wanting. If you know me, i want 2 doors with some boost. that'll be my next car. i'm holding onto the J because i like how it drives and it's comfortable. (also get's pretty good gas mileage 22city 25hwy)
