2000 Escalade fuel gauge problemjj22429 06-07-2006, 07:03 PM I have a 2000 Escalade and the fuel gauge is stuck on full most of the time. It will occasionally move off of full just a bit as the fuel is depleted, and when I fill it up it pegs past full. It will also drop from full to empty sometimes, and then go right back to full. Any suggestions? plathegame 06-08-2006, 02:07 AM check the connector but most likely the sending unit on the fuel pump assy is bad.. common gm problem around 60k mi or up GMCTONY 06-13-2007, 02:35 PM 2ooo sierra 1500 same problem my brother in fla has same problem with 2ooo suburban JRaffy7 06-28-2007, 04:35 PM I have 00 escalade as well and it was the sending unit that was bad... that was fixed under my extended warranty, but the gauge still has a life of its own from time to time... gas tank now has a slight leak too... redmansioner 07-03-2007, 12:09 AM Make sure that your fuel gauge is not clogged, clopgged fuel gauges may sometimes cause malfunction.Good quality cadillac parts (http://www.speedyperformanceparts.com/cadillac-parts.html) can be found in auto shops.I hope I could help. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
