That always happens to companies that try to go mainstream ...... prices go up and quality sags a bit to make production quotas

^ what in the fuck are you talking about. Just becaue a website sells something doesnt meen there going mainstream. Look at zapco there are online companies selling there stuff, did there prices go up, no. There are a lot of companies that arent approved dealers selling there stuff to.

If anything ike sound would benefit from this if they could lower there prices.

it IS RE's plan to go mainstream.

End of discussion.

I think it would be any companies plan to go mainstream. Granted for some its not the best choice. I wouldnt mind going to circuit city or best buy and being able to pic up a SX. I dont look at it as going mainstream and underground, its more of an expansion of the market that are trying to sell to. I know a lot of people who have never heard of RE, ascendant, soundsplinter, and so forth. And it would be great to see RE as a well known brand. I will agree with pauld'srevenge that when companies do expand, they get back ordered, and to help with that problem they start using cheaper manufacturing proceses.

RE is essentially planning on turning into the next JLaudio

This has been known for at least hte past 6 months.

However what all the ruckus is about right now is their sudden, un announced chage to strictly dealer networks and the lack of both local and internet dealers.

and resize your siggy please. im 1024x768 and its WAY to big for my screen.

in fact it took 1280x960 to get it right. that is WAY outside the natural resolution of most computer monitors.

it was only a matter of time. Anybody who realizes they have what it takes to make millions will probably do it. If they become the next JL, good for them. Except I hope they would be more efficient for their prices. Those prices I just saw on ikesound are ridiculous.

ridiculous.

i have an 18" LG flat screen...i just keep it at a lower resolution because i like bigger icons on my desk top and i like my desk top picture to fill out the entire screen at its natural resolution and i think that is also the natural resolution of my screen.

so kiss my arse :)
