If you want something that will still be sorta good on gas then I would go with a holley 600cfm carb and a holley intake. You can always go with a bigger carb but that might require a performance fuel pump. MrPbody 11-06-2006, 02:36 PM Okay, I missed the previous thread. If I read it correctly, you've bought a stroker crank and stock pistons? Won't work. The pin is too "low" in the piston. You'll need 455 pistons or the correct "stroker" pistons (requires less decking). As for the carb and intake, I prefer the open plenum for the larger cubes. Torker II is available "new". Torker is better, but hard to find. An engine this size needs a minimum of 800 CFM to make power at 5,500. We recommend AED Holley "HO" series. 750 would "do", but 850 would be better. You would need 2 600s to feed this monster... Jim p.s. You can always e-mail me directly. mrpbody@earthlink.net vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
