W.I.P Honda City Turboiceracer1 06-04-2006, 12:48 PM Hi, While I'm still building on the widebody Honda Civic, I picked a new project out of my to do stocklist. It's a Tamiya Honda City turbo. Very old kit and no details at all but I will make it as a crazy car :D. Big wheels, big exhaust spoiler..... Here some pics: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_009.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_010.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_011.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_012.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos%20008%7E2.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos%20007%7E2.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_013.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_014.jpg Kris. nugundam93 06-04-2006, 01:30 PM wow...good for you that you got this kit :D love this car. iceracer1 06-06-2006, 05:03 AM Yesterday I had time to work on the City. I cutted out the grille and the bumpergrille. Than I cleaned the foglights and make the hole in the bumper bigger. Also the holes for the sidemirrors are cleaned because I'll use some other mirrors. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/front_001.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/front_002.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/front_003.jpg I searched in my partsbox and found a nice intercooler. I made some silicon tubes on it and applied a A'pex decal on it. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/front_004.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/front_005.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/front_006.jpg I think it looks very mean on the car :D Kris. frenchbadass 06-06-2006, 05:29 AM Good luck with fitting everything on that small car k20_chris 06-06-2006, 11:23 PM why did you put the intercooler like that. vanzz 06-07-2006, 07:27 AM crazzy))) but its fun! keep it up! porschenut 06-07-2006, 11:28 AM looks cool with the intercooler iceracer1 06-08-2006, 06:46 AM Yeah I painted the body. First the primer: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/spuiten_001.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/spuiten_002.jpg Than I painted it Red as base colour: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/spuiten_003.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/spuiten_004.jpg And than Motip Metallic Violet. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/spuiten_005.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/spuiten_006.jpg and a couple of clear coat lays: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/spuiten_007.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/spuiten_008.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/spuiten_009.jpg On the pics the metallic doesn't show how deep it is but I'll try to make better pics this week of the colour. I really like it. I only had a bit of a orange peel on the paint but I'll polish and wax the body this week. Hope you like it! Kris. iceracer1 06-12-2006, 04:35 AM Hmmm again no feedback :shakehead :disappoin I Polished/waxed the body and the colour is very nice. Especially in the sun :smokin: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/velgen_001%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/velgen_002%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/velgen_003.jpg These are the wheels I'll use. They're from a Revell Tuner kit and I painted the spokes in semigloss black. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/velgen_006.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/velgen_004.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/velgen_005.jpg These are the original seats from the City but I think they're too big and heavy :p http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/velgen_007.jpg I wanted some smaller seats and I found them in my partbox. They come from a HKS Kansai Lexus IS200 http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/velgen_008.jpg These seats are open on the backside so I used some styreen to clean the seats. I also cutted the seats and maked them more realistic to put some steel pins in it. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/stoel_001.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/stoel_002.jpg I don't know what colour the interior will be. Maybe white or someting? Kris. porschenut 06-13-2006, 12:25 PM I would suggest a two tone interior with a purple and black or something... The colour on the body just looks amazing Scale-Master 06-13-2006, 12:33 PM Are you going to do the little cycle up to match? - Mark Dave5.0 06-13-2006, 12:48 PM Nice looking build.....I like the idea of a tan or grey interior? voyageur 06-13-2006, 04:00 PM hi kris, i really like the paintjob and your choice of wheels! Keep up the good work. Cheers iceracer1 06-14-2006, 04:45 PM Thnx for the compliments guys. I made my choice for the interior. It will be WHITE :D I think this looks great with the exterior colour. The dash will be shiny white and the doorpanels and the seats semigloss white. On the rear seats there will be a NOS bottle and maybe I use some CF decals or something. Kris. For the dashboard I used a shift ligth and some gauges. (don't know the exact name of it). I also used a Fujimi steering wheel. Hope you like it! http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_af_001.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_af_002.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_af_003.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_af_004.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_af_005.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_af_006.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_af_007.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_af_008.jpg Kris. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
