Just got a crack in my radiator. Seems to be on a seem on the top next to the cap. Looks like at one time it had been brazed in the same spot. Trk has 167,00 on it and I believe it is the org radiator. Other than this trk runs great. Got any ideas? Any help would be wonderful!

Can't remember, can you fill us in on year and engine?

Fix it right by just replacing it, don't allow that engine to overheat, and for the sake of avoiding other damages, do NOT use any kind of stop leak products.

I would order a rad from radiator.com and just replace it (167k is a lot for a rad).

Thanks for your replys and the links. I was thinking about just getting a new radiator but was wondering if there was another op.

I replaced mine with a Modine from NAPA. Pretty straightforward swap out.

would it help any to go with a bigger radiator--like as big as will fit--with slight modification to mounts, etc...

i'd think that as long as the hose placements are correct--it would be pretty simple, right?

you could get one that has more passes of the tube that is no bigger then you already have. Only needed if you tow hard or wheel hard.

i recently got a radiator for my 93 rodeo from a parts recycler. $70 instead of $150 online. I checked it out real good for cracks or evidence of leak stop, had none so i bought it and installed it. The radiator works great, no leaks and has brought the engine temp down.
