1jz vs. 2jzsteffear 06-03-2006, 07:26 PM i have been a huge 2jz fan my entire life, obviously due to the raw power they are able to produce. the only thing that has ever held me back from attempting to buy one is how much the cars weigh. I have never understood why the Supra/ SC300 weigh so much. i tend to lean a little more towards the sc300, so i decided to do a little research and find out what options are available. i still am learning about the 1jz. from what i understand, it is most likely the cheaper motor and easier (relatively opf course) of the two to install. although, as the old saying goes... there's no replacement for displacement... and i do not see it generating the power of the mighty 2jz. just curious about what people's oppinions are. let me know what you think... 1JZ VS. 2JZ ????????? natesiy 07-19-2006, 06:44 PM I'm running one of the first 1jz Soarers in Canada and their a blast to drive. Hi revving though. Full boost comes on at about 3500, smooth boost curve. If your used to driving hi rev cars (imports) then it'll be a blast for you. I'm still getting used to the lack of torque downlow coming from a turbocharged V8 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
