1990 Mazda B2200 Idle rpm?bigtody2000 06-02-2006, 10:37 PM Just a simple question people. What should my 1990 B2200/carb/standard shift, be idling at? Mine is now 750/850 rpm or so. hocbj23 06-03-2006, 07:55 PM 800 rpm at idle, warm with the vacuum line attached to the dist.bj bigtody2000 06-05-2006, 09:26 AM ok. how exactly do I that? hocbj23 06-05-2006, 10:07 AM Not sure I understand. Vacuum line should already be attached to dist. Some trucks u set idle with vacuum line detached. Let truck warm up to normal op temperature and check idle speed with truck in NEUTRAL and Parking brake set and A/C off if u have air.If you have built in tachometer it should read 800 rpm. If idle is too slow or too fast,on the passenger side rear of your carb is a hex head brass screw with a Phillips slot.Turn to right to idle up, to left to idle down.If ur truck is idling up and down between 750 and 850 rpm u may have a vacuum leak. Check vacuum hoses around carb especially the 1 that runs from carb to dist. and be sure they are not frayed, cracked or leaking. BJ Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
