165k, intermittently bogs bad with slight throtle increase. Changed cap, rotor, ignition module, coil, pickup coil, fuel filter, TPS, EGR. Once warmed up, same issue, now all the time. Tech1 (code 45) shows exhaust very rich (when problems exists). Fuel pressure steady at +55psi. ...HELP!!!:banghead:

:shakehead so we tried a new computer, which resulted in a new characteristic--a fast idle of 1500rpm. Does anybody have any ideas? The fuel spider is suspect, and we will remove intake next to inspect. On a side note, does anybody know the torque specs for the upper intake?

Just had my 89 Caprice serviced (since it failed emissions) and also used to get a code 45 periodically. Had smell of gasoline as well. Could be a vacuum leak somewhere. Repairs done are replacing throttle body gasket, and cleaning out restricted vacuum ports on throttle body. Catalytic converter is shot but was not replaced. I'm not sure if this would help with the code 45 but it could be related somehow.
