How to open truck when key is "ON"phoenixg127 06-02-2006, 06:04 PM I have a quick question. Since my '99 LS has no trunk release in the car, the only way to open the trunk is by remote. This is fine, but the trunk release does not operate when the key is in the "ON" position. Does anyone know a way around this? Thanks, Dave my99cavy 06-02-2006, 07:26 PM hahaha u know i was wondering the same thing lol that is a very good question. so ne input would be nice. MrR0b0t0 06-02-2006, 09:08 PM Maybe they dont want you to have the trunk open when the car is supposed to be moving? I dunno, only logical thing I can think of. my99cavy 06-02-2006, 11:01 PM Maybe they dont want you to have the trunk open when the car is supposed to be moving? CavRacer 06-03-2006, 01:05 AM Yup, I know I hate that. Jump in the car, start it, then your friend wants something out of the trunk:banghead: phoenixg127 06-03-2006, 12:25 PM I also have a '99 Malibu, and when the key is "ON" I can pop the trunk with either the electronic trunk release near your left knee, OR the remote. It makes no sense. MrR0b0t0 06-03-2006, 01:59 PM Probabley why they stopped doing that 00+. But I searched aorund a bit and still havent come up with any way to go around it. 89Sunbird 06-03-2006, 07:14 PM I keep a spare key in my wallet ;) Also helpful for when I lock my keys in! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
