I am Changing every thing to synth...I have the rear locker FYI...jj Have you looked in the Owners Manual? Capacities are shown there. jumpingjack66 06-03-2006, 05:09 PM Yes i have and the axil capacities are not there. Thats why i am asking here...jj guumbah 06-03-2006, 11:23 PM Maybe it's not in the OM because there are so many different rear ends? Not sure. I checked my Haynes repair book (covers 99-05) and they don't list it either. Mine's only 2WD, but the rear end is the locking limited slip, and it took around 2.5 or 3 if I remember right. I changed it a couple of months ago. Maybe yours is close to that... jumpingjack66 06-04-2006, 09:41 PM ya thats the sources i have and they dont list the caps for the differentials, who new? Anyways i was hoping someone who have done the rear locker and the front recently could tell me what it took...jj ColoradoSilverado 06-05-2006, 08:00 AM I recently did mine, glad I did the rear diff oil was so nasty who knows how long ago it was replaced. My truck has a 124,000 miles on it now. I used Valvoline for everything now, engine, tranny, front and rear diff. Only thing that's left is the transfer case. Anyway, if I remember correctly it took like 1.5 for the front and 1.75 for the rear, if you buy 4 of them you should have enough.
