Hello to all,

I just found out that the small tabs that hold the rubber inserts (wiper blades) has broken off due to old age from my 89' Camry. Considering a factory replacment is an east $160 bucks I'm now thinking about some type of aftermarket set-up.

Does anyone have such a set-up and what brand is it? Will it attach easily to the main arm using the two small screws? Can you give me a model number as well? A quick solution is hopeful.:screwy:

Many thanks,

If I understand what you are searching for you can go to your local auto supply and buy an entire wiper blade assembly that will include the rubber blade and the metal holder that attaches to the wiper arm with the two small screws. For my "91 they run about $15 a side.

idmetro,

Let me look into that. I just don't want to get too involved with this stuff and besides $15 per side is allot better than $160 per side.

Thanks for your reply:-)

Rimfire,
If you have a NAPA locally you may want to try them. I've had good luck with replacements for my Crapillac, my daughter's Mitsu, and the wife's Camry.

DFBonnett,

No NAPA over here in Los Angeles that I know of BUT PEP BOYS did have "Trico" brand tht appears be be a OEM parts replacement. I'll get them mounted tomorrow so for now that issue appears to be solved.

Thank you all for the tremoundous help/replies. Your all first rate:grinyes:

You might want to check your local Wal-mart. They usually carry Anco blades and a few other brands. Most of the Anco blades are around $4. I used a set years ago on my 86 Camry and they also came with the 2 little screws.

rimfire,
Another thought. If you go to www.napaonline.com and plug in your zip, it will give you the dealers in your area.

Mike Gerber, DFBonnett,

Thank you both for your messages. Since I already bought the "Trico" brand they were already mounted just a couple hours ago. Super easy to handle and I'm very satisfied as they sliped right in/on. Nothing to worry about for the balance of the calendar year.

Let's hope the wiper arm or the motor doesn't go out now.

Thanks again,
