What's up guy's! Ok, i got a 2002 rsx-s and i put 17 inch chrome rims. So i was wondering should i drop my car for 1inch 1/2 or 2 1/4 inch?? Can somebody answer me please??? *have to mention, it will be replace by new shock and springs, not by coil cause everybody told me that makes a real cheap ride....???
ps: i don't want anything that touch and if i put some luggages(like 30 pounds) that will touch or make cheap noise...
Sorry for my english, im french:icon16:

1 1/2inch should be good. How high is your car stock from the tire?

It depends on what look you're going for. 2.25" is way too much for my taste. I'd go with the 1.5".

Thanks! That's what i did, i went for 1 inch 1/2. And the the gap is about 5inches MAX so i gues it,s going to be perfect!

I was suppose to go with a full adjustable suspension (Tein) but it was a bit too much for my budget...so i bought kyb shock with Band Gspring (coil). I know that KYB is suppose to be a good brand but i never earth about Band G?? Du u know about this brand??? As for the pics before and after ill try to show u cause i really like my ride. I got 17 inches chrome rims, (it's heavy but nice) , clear lghts, xenon light, and now the drop. Now ill start with the engine cause i only have a cold air intake....u have a rsx-s??

KYB I heard is good but the Band G IDK? Have you heard of Megan Racing? Springs is good for about 2inches or less. But yeah my car is in my sig, I have a third but it's not painted yet. What year is yours?

sorry it's B+G performance....and they have a site and it looks preddy good???About megan racing, i heard it's Crap made by ebay.....the dude who told me that he's a mechanical so i guess he's right but sometimes peoples just like to tell shit....but i saw the price on ebay of megan racing and it,s competitive?! But if i were you, id pay a bit more for a well known brand. My type-s is a 2002 but i only have 48 ooo ks. I just had my car yesterday and doesn't even look drop. The mechanical guy told me that it's going to take a good week before i see the real drop...should i believe this??? BTW don't go with KYB shocks if u want to drop your type-s cause it doesn't fit in front only in rear!! Hopefully for me i ordered Koni shocks for the same price cause *Final Lap* (the garage) took the juice cause it wasn't my mistake. But Kyb tell the customers that it fits but it DOESN'T. Or maybe on the basic models but not for the type-s.......

Alot of people have megan racing coilovers on there RSX on ClubRSX. I was suppose to get them too but I saved my money so that I can get my turbo instead. He said wait one week to see the results??? HAHA thats some bull, when I drop my AE86 I saw the result right then and there. But then again it was a 2-3inch drop. But anywayz you should see the results with the 1 1/2inch drop. Oh measure it, you have 17's on your car?

1.5" isn't that much of a drop so you it will take some time for the springs to settle down and notice some difference. What he said is actually not "Bull". A week sounds about right.
A 2-3 inch drop is more noticeable right away since it is a much greater difference. I'm 100% sure that when you first had the springs installed they didn't drop the car the full amount.
