Another fat skyline...7th_skyline 05-30-2006, 06:01 AM Just started messing around with it as a diversion from my Hakosuka project... Its a HR31 GTS-R, I'm working on replicating some bodykit parts from http://www.r31house.co.jp , and some inspiration from the 7th Meister crew http://cwaweb.bai.ne.jp/~kgc10/index.htm R31house skirts, front bar: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/floody79/PHAT_copy.jpg Maejima's car, from 7th_Meister : http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/floody79/dream5.jpg Mine: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/floody79/31housekit011.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/floody79/31housekit007.jpg I am going for the R31house front bar and skirts, ZG style flares like the 7th Meister cars, and I'm not sure on the rear bar yet - may be R31house style but I want to build in a CF diffuser, theres another style called "racing silhouette" which I like (haven't got a pic for you though). Also may just have a Nismo GT-R "drag lip" instead of the monster GT-wing. Wheels are Fujimi O.Z. Lamborghini wheels (345s). Apart from that, it will be basically box stock. I've been itching to use those wheels and I thought an outlandish widebody on an 80's car would be the go. Mr. Me. 05-30-2006, 08:09 AM goodluck:) gtidude 05-30-2006, 08:13 AM I LOVE THOSE SKYLINES! can i get a closer pic of those wheels? MidMazar 05-30-2006, 03:47 PM Nice i like old school skylines, looks to be a promising build, what company makes (made) this kit? NissanSkylineGTR98 05-30-2006, 04:20 PM Looks like a great start, can't wait to see more progress. 12sec.clubCRX 05-30-2006, 07:13 PM thats really nice, hope to see the finishing on that soon, love the rims heroblast 05-30-2006, 07:38 PM your camera's not doing your builds justice. great idea though. exciting. nugundam93 05-31-2006, 03:44 PM that'd be a great project! i luv drift 06-08-2006, 01:20 AM THEY ARE SO KOOL!!!!!!!!!! The model is very kool aswell. how did u do the arches? 7th_skyline 06-09-2006, 09:06 AM THEY ARE SO KOOL!!!!!!!!!! The model is very kool aswell. how did u do the arches? I feel bad posting without any more progress on it.... Anyway, theres probably a tutorial somewhere, but basically I carve the wheelarches a little higher into the body, then add a strip of styrene as the bottom of the flare, and cut styrene sheet into an arch to glue flat on the side of the body which I build putty up to - it gives an "edge" for the back of the flare. A little hard to explain. If you can find Kunta's hakosuka buildup thread, he has a great sequence of his method for building the flares up. i luv drift 06-09-2006, 06:58 PM Wow sounds like a long process. but it turned out really good! i bought styrene but when it is bent or folded it breaks! but anyway this model is looking really good. i neva seen a R31 this good so keep up the good work! :grinyes: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
