CD Player Install Problems

I am installing a CD Player and I have it working ok but there is a few problems with it that I am wondering if anyone can help me out with.

1. Channels and Settings do not stay stored in memory after it is off for a while.

2. Display is very weak, can barley make out what it says.


I am also trying to find the install kit for a 2003 GMC Sonoma and can't find it anywhere.

Make sure that you have the memory wire hooked to a constant 12 v and that the memory and ignition wires both have 12v on them. If it's not connected to constant 12v that would cause the problem of it losing settings, as for the weak display it could be less than 12v getting to it, a bad ground, or a problem with the HU.
