93 GT engine cuts outbumfodderboy 05-27-2006, 04:39 PM I own a 1993 Escort GT w/ 170k on it. I will be driving down the street and the engine will randomly cut out to 0 rpms. Sometimes it will sputter back up to whatever RPM's I was driving at, and other times just die completely. :banghead: I ran some fuel injector cleaner w/ some premium gas through it for about 100 miles, but it still acts up. I do have a bad clutch, but I believe this to be either a problem with my fuel pump, distributor, or one of my vacuum lines. Anything in particular I should look for? Thanks AzTumbleweed 05-28-2006, 02:57 PM Maybe a coil? bumfodderboy 05-28-2006, 04:09 PM Hmm that actually could be it. I replaced the entire distributor a few months ago, I think around January, due to the ignition module going out. I bought the replacement distributor used from a junkyard. I'll test the coil tonight to see if that is causing my problem. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
