Am i in the wrong? Parking ticketMr Wiggl3s 05-27-2006, 08:07 AM Ok so i got a parking ticket, which im sure most of yall have. I parked in front of a sign, about 10 feet away that said: NO PARKING APRIL-JULY MON-THURS 5PM-9PM So this was on friday night-saturday mourning ticket, and the ticket said "no parking 1am-5am" So whats the deal here, why did i get this ticket? freakray 05-27-2006, 11:03 AM Because you suck and the cop obviously knew it. What time did you park there? stone_mound_camaro 05-27-2006, 11:10 AM yea... what the sign means is that its 28 hour enforcement. 5pm-9pm means no parking from 5pm one day until 9pm into the next day freakray 05-27-2006, 01:54 PM yea... what the sign means is that its 28 hour enforcement. 5pm-9pm means no parking from 5pm one day until 9pm into the next day Share whatever you're smoking please. The sign tells you that you can't park in that area in times of peak traffic in the evening, if he parked there during that period - ticket duly awarded. Mr Wiggl3s 05-27-2006, 02:51 PM I parked there at 8pm and left it there until 7am on a friday night Rally Sport 05-27-2006, 03:35 PM I parked there at 8pm and left it there until 7am on a friday night Go back to the site where you got your ticket, take a picture, print it out and then fight it in court.. freakray 05-27-2006, 08:50 PM 7am on a friday night You in the Southern Hemisphere? Igovert500 05-29-2006, 07:33 AM Go back to the site where you got your ticket, take a picture, print it out and then fight it in court.. :1: /thread dave92cherokee 05-29-2006, 03:20 PM You said you parked it there at 8pm was it thursday night or friday night? If thursday night then what time was the ticket written? If friday night park car in exact same place as last time and take picture of car and sign stating the no parking times and fight it and it should be dropped. fredjacksonsan 05-29-2006, 07:28 PM Geez. So you parked at 8pm in a no parking zone that ran from 5p-9p. Look at the time on the ticket. If it's between 8p and 9p, pay the ticket as you're in the wrong. If however it's after 9pm, then go to court and you'll win. Make sure to take a picture of the sign. Show the picture and the ticket (with time on it) to the judge as your evidence. k3smostwanted 06-01-2006, 04:05 AM Geez. So you parked at 8pm in a no parking zone that ran from 5p-9p. OK so I missed the M-TH part, but this is exactly why I suggested going to court, showing the date/time on the ticket, and having a picture of the no parking sign. k3smostwanted 06-01-2006, 09:35 AM OK so I missed the M-TH part, but this is exactly why I suggested going to court, showing the date/time on the ticket, and having a picture of the no parking sign. agreed... i didnt mean to point you out. a few people were confusing the whole situation. anyways, according to what the sign said and when he parked, it seems to me that he should not have been given a ticket. fredjacksonsan 06-01-2006, 09:42 AM No sweat; and agreed that there was lots of confused speculation. Ok so Mr. Wiggl3s, when is your court date? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
