Does anyone know or know of a page that explains the difference between USDM and JDM Motors? Not specs necesarily but the actual motor differences and how they are built. I know the JDM doesnt have all the emissions and exhaust stuff but i want to learn more in depht what the difference is right down to exactly what parts are missing or included that gives them more power?

it is mostly emission stuff. the ecus in the jdm engines are a little more aggressivley tuned usually as well. other than that they arent much diffrent.

maily emission, including egr, charcol canister....etc also they usually have very little diffrences (i.e. compression, bit more boost...etc) as well as the ecus are meant to be run on 100 octane instead of our craptastic 91

So Cal. We are deprived of octane, some hi-po cars sold here I think are suppose to run on 92, lol. I like turbo 108 =P cheap stuff but at least they have the big can =P
