Hello, i just bought a 2000 z24 and the car is great, except for one problem...going in 1st gear is ok, but when i shift gears from like 1st to 2nd and my rpms drop below 2000, i hear a wierd sound almost like a grinding, but as long as i take off and when i shift if it doesnt drop below 2000 rpm's i never hear it. Could this be a serious problem? And it only makes the sound until the rpm's are above 2000, then it stops.

no one has any ideas? does this possibly sound like a new clutch perhaps?

What RPM's are you shifting at?

Yeah you could be shifting too early so the rpm's drop low and the engine doesent have enough power to get 2nd gear flying..
