Here are some wheeling pictures. This was 3 weekends ago on an afternoon trail run near Marquette. The '67 FJ40 broke trail followed by me in my 80. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22955822.jpg Check out the snow depth, I had to dig my door out so I could open it, yep, stuck. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22955929.jpg Here's the line up, taking a break and giving some directions to some lost snowmobilers. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22955942.jpg Here is the view of following the 40 as it blasted along through 3 feet of snow. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22955990.jpg Forward progress is halted, she's smiling because she just hung out staying nice and warm listening to music while we pondered the situation. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22957261.jpg The 40 taking a breather, amazingly not getting stuck all afternoon. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22958481.jpg Here's another angle, those are 35's to give you some reference. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22957250.jpg Pausing to let some of the other vehicles catch up. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22958505.jpg ksaile 04-16-2003, 08:13 PM Amazingly we only got stuck bad enough to need to be tugged out twice that day. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22958561.jpg This was from 2 weekends ago. This was a Jeep run that I went out with, so you'll have to forgive the occasional Jeep shot. I ended up towing the YJ behind me about 3 miles of the toughest part of this trail after his front actuator failed. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22944801.jpg My 33's were small compared to the 35's and 38's that some of these rigs had, along with full lockers. Some more beautiful April weather here in the Upper Peninsula! http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22945276.jpg Slow going, the snow was too deep and even the biggest rigs couldn't get through this section, we had to turn around. http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22945882.jpg http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22949496.jpg http://pic6.picturetrail.com/VOL164/1029115/1923316/22950373.jpg and a shot of me towing the wrangler http://www.michiganjeepers.com/photopost/data/500/53cruzernrdneck-med.jpg Any body else here get their rigs offroad for any adventures? ksaile 04-16-2003, 08:16 PM Thought I'd add a shot of what my truck looks like when not buried in the white stuff. http://www.cartogra.com/servlet/LinkPhoto?GUID=39587ed0-5949-7632-3a5e-33b9238d5e87&size=lg Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2013
