anyone know anything about lap tops??

anyone suggest any good brands for around well under 3000 for say 1.6 mhz...pent 4...with 3dfx card...

that will be hard to find for that price... from memory i think dell supply notebooks with nvidia chipsets. i know u can get new ones with 64mb geforce 4 ones. 2ghz too.

but i think that would be WAY over that budget. i think for your budget you will have trouble finding a pentium 4 at all.
i think pentium 3 1ghz are still around the 3-4k mark.

You want to go out and buy this months APC mag. I am a subscriber, but this months is a laptop special. You probably want to go with a hell of a lot lower specs than that, Tan man. And you won't get an outboard 3DFX card on a laptop - they're all built in adaptors. You're looking more like 1ghz, 256mb DDR RAM and XP. Look for a brand name for that price and specs and you're in front. I can recommend a website - www.laptopworld.com.au
