2006 Santa Fe.

The inlaws are visiting. And for the first time I've had three passengers in the backseat. The center passenger's seatbelt attachments are positioned outside the left and right seatbelt positions. So, in order that everyone be belted in the female buckles end up crossing over the top of one another. I don't know if my description makes any sense, it's hard to describe without seeing it with your own eyes.

Is this normal? Or are the female buckles installed "backward"?

Well i can say i know what your talking about.. I'm a tech at a baltimore hyundai dealer. The buckle in all santa fe's are like that made from the factory on all of them.. if you look at the buckles the One THAT has center written on it is closer to the left door.. As the buckle to the left belt is postion closer to the center/Right seat.. It's normal.. If you want you can just take the bolts out and swap them it won't hurt anything..
