Check ebay for the cat, and then call around to a couple shops to get the best price on an install.

Muffler shops usually have a cheap line.
But I would suggest medium grade or a oem type or better but will cost more.
And always find out why the old one went bad.
If it is stopped up or bad there usually a engine running problem behind it.

Most places that sell exhaust parts will sell it.Do not throw the old one away, there are guys buying them for the metals inside.A place came into my father's and bought all of them and got $200.00-$300.00 for them.Weld the new on and NO clamps!

Thanks for the replies, I have 200k on the truck and cat is original. About 4 weeks ago I noticed an annoying rattle at idle that went away while driving. Then I started getting a check engine light for catalysit effiency monitor. The annoying rattle is coming from the cat. O2 sensor signals were scoped and are reposnding properly truck is running great. I believe the guts inside the convertor gave out and is messing with the effiency test. I am getting prices of $350 to $500 to replace and could think of more exciting things to spend it on than a cat, oh well the original certianly did its job for me so cannot complian too much.

ebay has 2 1/4 cats cheap, catco is the name brand.

Then pay a shop to install it, shouldn't be more than $50 to install.

Save big $$$.
