If you want a 3rd gen be prepared to pay out the ass for it.
Persoally I like the 2nd gen's a lot better, the t11is just a stupidly fast car as is. It's all preference. the first gen I think performs better and is also lighter?

The FD will out perform all prior models in base form. The FB/SA are the lightest out of the bunch while the FC are the big fat pigs/ redheaded stepchild/ poorboy racing machine that will fool most suckers.

As far as mods go, don't even plan on modding any of the three generations unless you have a DD and a deep wallet. I would suggest different if you knew about RX-7's but, no offence you don't really seem like you would know a piston ring from an oil seal.

Oh and on the going up to the "wite" boys and showing up their Vettes, camaros, mustangs, Grand nationals, fire birds, so on and so on. All of the stated cars are much cheaper to mod and will more then likely stay together longer then a very well built rotary.

I own an fb and I love it. I wouldn't mind getting an fd, but unlike you I'm poor. My suggestion is to hunt around on the net and get the raw numbers(horsepower/weight ratio) on all the cars you might be interested in. Then come back and ask about mods on the cars that look the fastest as it looks like you want pure speed. Oh, and not all "wite boys" are mullet sporting and muscle car driving. Some of us love the rice too, man.

I didn't feel like you were insulting my knowledge, I just didn't think I made clear what I was saying in my other post. I see way to many ricers talk about drifting even with FF cars and it annoys me to no end when they try coming out of a parking lot wide open then yanking the Ebrake.

To my meager knowlege F1 cars don't drift 'cause they have such a good power/weight ratio that if they slid at all they wouldn't have the traction to take off at full power. On the other hand, rally drivers on dirt and pavement (e.g. hillclimb) like to push their cars into the corner as fast as possible. Then let it slide so they can carry through aimed in the correct direction to then accelerate powerfully. Thereby losing the least amount of speed possible in the turn. This seems to be different than a lot of the drifting competitions you see as they are going more for style and ability to control the car precisely during a full on slide. I'm more impressed by those who can control a slide to an advantage of speed as opposed to one of style, even though they aren't as impressive to look at. I assume that is what you were refering to as four-wheel drift.

I live in Phoenix Az and there is not a single shop here that can be trusted to maintain a 3rd gen... at any price. Leave the weird cars to guys that know what they are doing. We'll leave the hondas to you.

F1 cars don't drift because they would lose their downforce provided by the wings and thereby nudge a wall at an incredible rate of speed. They don't get points for style either!
