What is your favourite design piece on the F1? Everyone shoud have a favourite, so no-one is wrong in their posting (NO flaming please), but it would be nice to know (and see, pictures if possible please) their favourite 'bit' of the F1 and why it is so... hurstg01 05-15-2006, 02:31 PM Ok, now i'm at home and on my PC with all my pictures on it, here are some of the bits i find fascinating - firstly, the pedals http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/7703/xp4531no.th.jpg (http://img242.imageshack.us/my.php?image=xp4531no.jpg) this is from Chassis XP4 (Cheers Erik!) http://img342.imageshack.us/img342/3213/069167vn.th.jpg (http://img342.imageshack.us/my.php?image=069167vn.jpg) http://img342.imageshack.us/img342/5267/069191nf.th.jpg (http://img342.imageshack.us/my.php?image=069191nf.jpg) and these 2 are from #069 the way they are machined, the way they look, the way they perform and the way they fit in with the rest of the car do it for me also, the gearknob, this is one from #073 http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/3859/dsc020387mzedit1zg.th.jpg (http://img242.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc020387mzedit1zg.jpg) and this one from #070 http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/1733/070shifter7gp.th.jpg (http://img297.imageshack.us/my.php?image=070shifter7gp.jpg) another design masterpiece Le Man 05-15-2006, 05:58 PM This key, As it unlocks the most sensational driving experience, you can have behind the wheel of a road car. http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/9202/06835zc.th.jpg (http://img357.imageshack.us/my.php?image=06835zc.jpg) Peloton25 05-16-2006, 01:19 AM Is there any better part of the F1 than this one? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20B/mclaren1527703c0rxs.jpg Maybe it doesn't qualify as a design piece in the visual sense, but I think without this engine (one of the greatest ever built) the car might never have achieved the level of success or received as much acclaim as it did. >8^) ER BTW: Hurst - your first pedal shot comes from XP4. eclipse360 05-16-2006, 01:29 AM Probably the doors F1 monster 05-16-2006, 02:27 AM I love the intake on the roof. All corrected, cheers Erik Le Man 05-16-2006, 04:36 AM Pure mechanical art!! http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/2420/engine27hw.th.jpg (http://img55.imageshack.us/my.php?image=engine27hw.jpg) Plus a glorious sound track, especially from a GTR. Peloton25 05-16-2006, 11:26 AM If you knew that just by looking at the picture, I'm going to be a little scared...:uhoh: Go ahead and be scared - the exposed throttle cable is a dead giveaway. Production cars have a small carbon fiber cover there. Also, the interior in the car he labeled it as is black, so it had to be incorrect. >8^) ER Emiel 05-16-2006, 01:06 PM For me, it's the side streak; going from after the front wheel arch to the back wheel arch. And, of course, the packaging: 3 people, big engine, some luggage and still pretty small. Emiel MalkaJB 05-16-2006, 02:35 PM Go ahead and be scared - the exposed throttle cable is a dead giveaway. You are great when it comes to these minor details, and I completely forgot about comparing the interior color. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
