Midnight Purple Silvia S15Hiroboy 05-13-2006, 04:20 AM http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/midnight-purple-s15-001.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/midnight-purple-s15-002.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/midnight-purple-s15-003.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/midnight-purple-s15-004.jpg Painted this body last week with Modelcolourworx Midnight Purple, clear coated 4 times, and spent 5 hours polishing out (Jesus that was hard work to get a shine) I'll take some photo when the sun is out to try and capture the purple pearl. http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-005.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-006.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-007.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-008.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-009.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-010.jpg I wanted to put Deep Dish Nismo LMGT4 wheels on this build. Above is the progress for doing it Fit the tyre and rim to get the amount to be removed Cut Wheel to required width Sand up back Primer added Alclad2 Black Gloss Paint Alclad2 Chrome applied All Fitted togetherNow I need to modify the suspension and brakes to take the Tamiya Male Wheel onto a Aoshima Kit . http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-015.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-016.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-016a.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-017.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-018.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-019.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-020.jpg It's been finished for a while, but have been waiting to get the photos. Paint finish is so much better in real life, but took some outside to try to capture it. Polished it too much and suffering from static attracting too much dust. :( Custom made exhaust and wheels turned out to my liking :smokin: cham2020 05-13-2006, 04:43 AM your builds never fail to impress me you are the man ! Jetts 05-13-2006, 04:49 AM wheels are DOPE! RallyRaider 05-13-2006, 07:12 AM Great colour, great build. Nothing less than we expect from the (now Global!) HiroBoy. Wheels are a little extreme but I guess that's the point! :) snk33y 05-13-2006, 07:20 AM The master has done it again! Another masterpiece Steve.... I really love the deep dish wheels well done mate! felixthegreat 05-13-2006, 07:51 AM The Alclad2 Chrome is great. But what is the advantage of using Alclad2 Black Gloss Paint? JTRACING 05-13-2006, 08:24 AM man thats nice!!:sunglasse :sunglasse Cobra Colors 05-13-2006, 10:55 AM Gorgeous model! NissanSkylineGTR98 05-13-2006, 11:10 AM Excellent work! Hiroboy 05-13-2006, 11:16 AM http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-011.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-012.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-013.jpg http://www.spc.org.uk/gallery/albums/uploads/Nissan/midnight-purple-s15/midnight-purple-s15-014.jpg This is how I modifed the Brakes, They are the Tamiya Skyline R34 GT-R Nismo Parts (http://hiroboy.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=54&products_id=145) Take a peice of 3.2mm (1/8") Plastruct tube, This has a hole (bore) of just under 2mm which is the same size as the pin on the tamiya wheel. I cut a small section of Aluminium tubing (K&S) 5/32" round and inset into the suspension unit, the bore of the 5/32" tube is about 3.2mm so they all fit together nice and snug. I will cut down the plastic tube to length on test assembly to get the wheel base just how I want it. Hope that make some sorta sense ? indybhogal 05-13-2006, 01:01 PM That's an amazing model!!! energon 05-13-2006, 03:09 PM BEAUTIFULL!! I love the 3rd Completed shot. Are those pegasus 23" sleeves steve? Hiroboy 05-14-2006, 02:35 AM Are those pegasus 23" sleeves steve? No they are Aoshima ones from Fabulous Profounds XeVeNskyLiNE 05-14-2006, 03:05 AM Wow. As an avid S-chassis lover all I have to is, I'M NOT WORHTY!!! Amazing build. JayGTI8v 05-14-2006, 04:59 AM lookin sweet dude willimo 05-14-2006, 05:55 PM Looks great! The color is perfect, and the wheels came out fantastic. That's essentially the same as I did for my Supra's wheels. Someone somewhere needs to start offering staggered offset trim rings in either chromed plastic or turned aluminum seperately from wheels. They'd sell a mint. Also, fantastic way to modify the brakes and suspension! Your models impress me most with their clever solutions. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
