hi i got a dodge avenger 96' and my headlights are foggy ' i look on ebay and the 97' to 00' look the same {96'} and cheaper .
i would like to know if the 97' will fit my 96'.
if i have to change some parts i could do it too.

dont worry about getting new lights do what i did...Go to some department store dont know who would carry it right off hand.Look for liquid glass its in a big pink bottle its a wax. It made my headlights like crystal.

or you can wetsand the light with something like 5000 grit sandpaper

You want to start off wetsanding with 300 grit if they are really bad then use 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, and finally 2000 grit. Work each light with sand paper for about 5 minutes per grit working your way up and make sure to use a soapy water and keep the lights wet at all times. Once you finish with the 2000 grit dry the light and then get a plastic polish compound or just get a rubbing compound and a polishing compound to finish it off. Start with the rubbing compound and then the polishing after. Be careful not to heat up the plastic too much when rubbing. I recommend using an electric buffer for best results. It is much better to wetsand then to replace the lights, it takes some time and work but it is worth it and you can save a lot of money. I have done this to many cars with great results actually I did my Avengers headlights about 2 weeks ago, they look like new. I put Meguiars PLASTX polish on the lights to protect them from getting scratched again.
