I've Seen A Whole Turbo Kit On Ebay For $1900 For Prelude Sh. Is It Worth It. Will They Last? It Comes With A Turbonetic T3/t4 Turbocharger.

i have no clue which one you're talking about....this is like asking is that $24k car any good? It has a shiny bumper......post a link or something, then we might be able to help you. Generally though, kits are overpriced and don't come with everything you need. I can build you a complete kit for less than what they want and it will be a better quality item. Also, its from Ebay...home of SSAC....i'm a little iffy about that already

What is "SSAC"? I agree with you if you mean that ebay is risky. Also I've been thinking about going boost with my GSR so I was wondering about that turbo kit that you could piece together. Would it be street legal here in CA?

i'm not exactly sure what's legal in California thanks to all of your lovely CARB certifications and emissions testing. Most people boost their cars and put them back to stock before they go get tested....its a lot of work, but it saves you having to buy an overpriced crappy kit that doesn't make that much power simply for the CARB sticker that goes with it. If you're interested in getting started, i have some parts that will help you out....here's one of them.

If you're serious about boosting your car, then let me know and i'll help you out. After building myself a kit from scratch, i have a pretty good idea of where to get things and how to get them cheaply. Building it yourself is a lot more rewarding in the end too...you can tailor your set up to be perfect for your car, your driving style and what you're going to use it for...

yeah, dont do the ebay!! and ssac stands for ssautochrome... lets just say most of thier turbos are held togeather with liquid nails.... seriously... i just installed a turbo for my buddy that he bought off ebay for 1100 and everything was ok.... UNTILL!!!! one of the elbows for the oil(high pressure-inlet) line wasnt even drilled out... he almost fried his bearings the first day he had it!!!! actually, there pretty much fried, whine a little. and we e-mailed the guy that sold it to us, and we were very nice about it... sumthin like hey, the part wasnt drilled all the way through and burned up my bearings, could i get a replacement because the part was what caused it..

Well, the turbo supplier sent back a letter sayin sumthin like: your f*ckin stupid, you should have checked the f*ckin lines before you put them togeather. we are not supplying sh*t for your f*ck up!.... seriously... dont do ebay!!

If you want a little more out of your car and you go pay 10000 dollars to have it purchased installed and tuned then you are a fool. If you pay 5000 dollars you are a fool who still has a slow car.

If you want more out of your car go buy a better car, if you want to put a turbo on your OEM car then you better learn a thing or two.

best explanation to new boosters everywhere.

neither of them are that bad....just know that if you were to look around the HondaMarketPlace on Honda-tech that you'd find a lot better deals if you knew what you were looking for. That Vecco kit for instance, doesn't have injectors, no management, no exhaust besides the dp, and you'd still have to a clutch....i spent around $3k to boost my GSR and that's after a $600 clutch/fly combo and a new turbo, new manifold, HP Racing IM, new Tial 38mm, and a whole list of other new things.....you can get something really nice if you're patient and know what to look for......
