My 87 caprice has a 305 "H" motor, while my friends 85 camaro has a 305 H.O., i know these have differences in power, but my question is, are the heads the same? is the only difference in the cam, or would i get a compression boost if i bolted his H.O. heads onto my "H" motor? thanks

The HO has a higher HP rating, but a lower torque rating than the standard LG4. You're better off with the LG4 (H) engine in your Caprice.
