I have a 91 VW Passat 5 speed. I was getting onto the highway earlier shifting from 3rd to 4th, as I pulled out the clutch it just reved, I figured I had accidently shifted into second, pulled it out of gear into Neutral, back into where I thought was 4th. Again it reved, then I noticed I had no gears. I was able to make a full circle with my shifter(no shift pattern). Did my tranny finally go(few gears grind), or shift linkage?
