well lets here your trashing stories,
anyways went to test last sunday, got up to the line fired the car, set the body down, driver lifted off the clutch to do the burnout then went to reapply the clutch and the linkage had fallen off... lol, driver hit the fuel shut off and electrical shutoff and it rode the brake till about half track, we figured that the car would be fine so we pushed it back to the line(not an easy thing to do with the clutch engagaed) and fixed the linkage. pulled up to the line the second time, fired the car sounded great, driver did a burnout, but as soon as he lifted the engine siezed. we were like oh shit! get back to the pits everything like 1 billion fucking degrees, clutch has turned blue, pulled the lenco, engine still wont turn over. had the engine out the same night, tore it down monday night, turns out the rear main bearing had gotten so hot when the driver was riding the brake to slow the car down when the clutch linkage fell off. The main bearing had welded itself to the crankshaft, which is not a good thing to happen with an 5000 dollar valasco crank. anyways turns out the crank was alright, didnt gurt the block or anything else, put in new main bearing. got the bottom end assembled on wednesday night, heads on it yesterday and just now got it back together totally, now tonight were going to drop the motor back in the car, and get ready for testing again tommorow morning. we were extremely lucky we didnt spin the main but everything is fine wih the motor, il upload a vid tonight of our fire up from last weekend.
