View Full Version : don't fit in one :( don't fit in one :( bkvj 05-10-2006, 02:09 PM i just checked the S13 out of my boss... thing is, i dont fit in it comfortably. my knees hit the steering wheel, even with the seat fully adjusted to the back. now i really like the car(heck most japanese cars!) but the problem with me is just my long legs. we just got a new bmw 7 series(the long one!) and even there i have a tiny problem(which might only be a problem on 5 hour + trips). is there a way to buy extented seat rails, or drill holes to adjust the rails further to the back(i'll remove the rear seats anyways...) thanks in advance 89'SIL-40 05-10-2006, 02:44 PM Go buy the 240, remove the front seat and sit in the back one!lol........its all worth it if you drive a 240!!=).... bkvj 05-10-2006, 04:55 PM lol:P but we dont have the 240 here but only a 200:P Chuki_breath 05-10-2006, 08:25 PM uhhhh what are you 10 ft??? The 240 has relatively long seat to pedal ratio.....i know plenty of 6ft-ers who drive 240's....did you try raising the steering column at all????? MetalHeadZaid 05-10-2006, 10:28 PM muahahahahahaha i take pity on you all (im 5'6 hehe) zacremacle 05-10-2006, 11:13 PM Im 6"3' and i dont have too bad of a prob. It is just on those long trips where I cant stretch out my legs. so you have to be a giant not to fit in one. doubleclutch 05-10-2006, 11:17 PM I'm a good 6'3"-4" and I fit in a '92 240 pretty good... bkvj 05-11-2006, 11:59 AM well im 6'8'' (that was a few months ago, im still growing so there is engough chance that i can add another inch to that). i havent really adjusted the steering wheel column, but i'll try it next saturday orso. also, i'll fit a short shifter and a smaller wheel so i dont hit the shifter and the wheel :) AWDSR20 05-11-2006, 04:12 PM well im 6'8'' (that was a few months ago, im still growing so there is engough chance that i can add another inch to that). OK Yao Ming go buy S14 ! Chuki_breath 05-11-2006, 07:51 PM ok so you are a giant. Sorry bro lol. Japanese are average what? 5 ft 2 lol. So yea you need the shaqiel o'niel package.....which i dont think hit production. dunno how to spell shaqiel o'niel either..... nissan_240sx 05-12-2006, 07:58 AM So yea you need the shaqiel o'niel package.....which i dont think hit production. dunno how to spell shaqiel o'niel either..... haha bkvj 05-12-2006, 04:00 PM Quote: So yea you need the shaqiel o'niel package.....which i dont think hit production. dunno how to spell shaqiel o'niel either..... haha me neither lol. anyways. the car IS going to be stripped out. will there be big problems getting the seat rail more further to the back? about 5'' or so? Chuki_breath 05-12-2006, 07:08 PM uhhh i wouldnt think there would be a problem. Depends on the rail i guess. Im sure you could get new holes tap'd. Some seat rails come adjustable too. I know bride has sliding rails. So you could mount the seat further back if you wanted, and then use the seat rail for fine adjustment. bkvj 05-13-2006, 02:18 AM uhhh i wouldnt think there would be a problem.
