Hi all, can anyone tell me where to start trying to solve my problem?

I have a 1990 Camry Station Wagon 4cyl. Sometimes when I turn the overdrive off...the light comes on the way it should. But most of the time it doesn't show when I turn off the overdrive. The exact same thing happens with the power switch for the ECT.

Anyone else have this problem? Is it the bulb or a connection? Thanks in advance.

Let me take a look at my 89' Camry and I'll get back to ya tomorrow. In the meantime check out your manual to see what they say.

In addition if you suspect other than the bulb I'd get it into Toyota as some parts for my 89' Camry is getting hard to get from the factory. Some small misc. parts I had to get from a dismantler/junk yard cuz Toyota doesn't make them anymore.

Too bad cuz mine just keeps running.

Mine work the same way as you described BUT I can't sat why your only works sometimes. Personally I'd get it to a Toyota dealership and get them to fix it cuz some of these parts will be hard to get.
