ive got a 94 escort with a 1.9 standard shift
ive had the car for about 2 year so im pretty sure ive got the hang on it by now, haha, but anyways i went up a real steep hill in it with a load of ppl.... not a good idea, i ended up stallin it out and what not, but now every time i take off from a stop in 1st gear it bucks like crazy, any ideas?

Sounds alot like my problem. I'm 99% sure it is my MAF sensor that is the culprit. Easiest thing to try is to remove it by unscrewing the two torx screws on top (they are security bits, so if you don't have the proper bit, a set of needle nose vice grips will work). Once you get the sensor out, I bet the filiments are gunked up with sludge. Carefully spray them with break cleaner, carb cleaner, or some other zero residue cleaner and reinstall. See if that helps.

First time mine started bucking when accellerating, I I cleaned the MAF and my problem was cured, for about a year. My problem is now back, and I'm looking at replacing the MAF sensor since cleaning it isn't helping now.

no its not that its got a new sensor on it, its more in the clutch and fly wheel, i just put a new tranny in it but i talked to my dad hes a ford man for god knows how long and it seems more like somethins wrong with the pressure plate
