Misfireraledar 05-08-2006, 12:33 PM I have a 1990 300zx twin turbo, and when the car is completely cold (been sitting all night) i go out to start it, it starts miss's then dies, or i can feather the gas and keep it running barely. If you drive it down the road it misses real bad wants to die, and when you push in the clutch to shift it will die. Now as soon as it warms up it runs and idles fine. And another issue is when the car gets pretty hot if i go wide open throttle it will get around 5500 rps and miss out, back fire, flames comin out the exhaust. But it will only do that if the car is pretty hot. Already had a new mas put in, and i am new to the 300z any suggestions, maybe in the tps sensor, and i need to go through the ecu diagnostics to, but i was wondering if this is a comon problem, and if anyone can point me in the general direction to diagnose, thank you raledar 05-09-2006, 12:28 PM also found out that if you go half throttle all the way up to 6500 it wont miss out, its only if you go wide open throttle to get it to miss, no codes in computer, but monitering the o2 sensors both of them are cycling very very slowly, they are not bouncing the 5 times every 10 seconds or about like that. They are way way to slow DeleriousZ 05-09-2006, 08:38 PM sounds like you're running way rich... try replacing the o2 sensors.... raledar 05-12-2006, 01:08 PM It has new 02 sensors in it, i am leaning more towards a engine temp sensor the one that the computer reads of corse vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
