Upgrade the heads?

I was wondering if anyone has upgraded the heads on a Crown Vic. I have a 2003 p71 with the faulty spark plug threads. I am looking to replace the heads and get some more performance at the same time. Is it possible to upgrade the heads with the DOHC heads from a 2003 or newer mustang? If I can will it work with the stock intake and exhaust manifolds that are already on the motor?
Thanx,
Paul

Paul,
You *can* install 4V heads on your '03 block, BUT it is much cheaper (and far easier) to get a complete engine out of a wreck.
Fortuneately, the Marauder has the exact 4V engine you need, complete with the correct wiring and computer. All you would need to do is have the Ford dealer reprogram the Passive Anti Theft System to the new PCM (the 2V and 4V PCMs are NOT interchangeable).
Aside from that, you can easily repair the sparkplug threads. See the topics on this at www.crownvic.net.
